FindAtlasPrivacy Policy
FindAtlas is a local-first macOS application. We designed it so that the contents of your files, emails and databases never leave your computer.
What stays on your Mac
- File names, paths, contents, metadata and previews.
- Extracted text from documents, email databases, SQLite stores and images.
- Your search index, including the optional encrypted vault.
- Your open counts and filters.
What we receive
- Device identifier: a random identifier generated on your Mac and stored in your Keychain. It is used only for the trial and license activation.
- License data: your license key, activation status and the device it is bound to.
- Purchase data: Paddle, our payment provider and Merchant of Record, processes your payment and shares the transaction reference with us. We do not receive or store your card details.
- Email: if you contact support or request the Windows beta.
What we never receive
We do not upload your files, their contents, your email bodies, your browsing history or your search queries. FindAtlas does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Encrypted vault
You can optionally protect the index inside an AES-256 encrypted disk image. The password is never sent to us. If you forget it, the index cannot be recovered; you can reset it and reindex your files.
Service providers
- Paddle — payments, invoicing and tax (Merchant of Record).
- Our hosting provider — license validation and this website.
- Google Fonts — website fonts; your browser may request them from Google.
Your choices
You can stop using FindAtlas at any time. Removing the app does not delete your source files. You can delete the index and the encrypted vault from the app, or ask us to delete your license record by emailing hello@lerensoft.com.
