Everything is searchable

Your whole Mac, one search box.

FindAtlas indexes more than names. It opens documents, reads contents, extracts image metadata and even understands email and SQLite databases — then lets you filter and preview without leaving the window.

Full-text search

SQLite FTS5 indexes names, paths and contents. Prefix search, AND/OR/NOT, exact phrases and substring search when you need it.

Dates & metadata

Created and modified dates, size, type, EXIF/TIFF/GPS for photos, and media metadata. Filter by date ranges and sort however you work.

Email & databases

Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Outlook and Spark SQLite stores; .eml/.emlx/.mbox; SQL dumps; plus generic SQLite table contents.

Filters & ranking

Filter by file type, modified or created date. Sort by relevance, date, name, size — or by how often you actually open a file.

Preview & highlight

A large preview pane with Quick Look thumbnails, highlighted matches, full metadata and readable text — without opening another app.

Encrypted vault

Because your index can contain sensitive emails and documents, optionally lock it inside an AES-256 encrypted disk image with a password.

See it in action

Built for the way you actually look for things.

Search on the left, preview on the right. Filter without losing context. Every result tells you what it is, when it changed and what is inside.

Questions

Good to know.

Does FindAtlas upload my files?

No. Everything is indexed locally. Only a random device id and your license are checked with our server; file contents never leave your Mac.

Can it read email databases?

Yes. Apple Mail (including Envelope Index and .emlx), Thunderbird global-messages-db, Outlook/Spark SQLite stores, .mbox and .eml files are supported. Similar SQLite databases and .sql dumps are indexed too.

Is Windows available?

A Windows build is in progress. Request the beta and we will let you know when it is ready.

What happens after the trial?

The 3-day trial is per device. When it ends, the app asks for a $39 one-time license. Enter the key or buy from the app; your index stays intact.

Can I move the license to a new Mac?

Licenses are bound to one Mac. Contact support and we can reset the device so you can activate on your new computer.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Search and indexing work offline. Activation and license validation need an internet connection; a valid license keeps working offline between checks.
